I graduated in 1999 and initially started working for the NHS and then made the decision to work independently. Since then I have developed a service for Settings alongside a series of products to help with speech, language and communication needs.
I have extensive experience of helping children to communicate and I am able to train in many areas of speech, language and communication needs. Prior to qualifying as a speech and language therapist I had a career in IT, designing and writing software. I now continue to design software to help children to communicate.
I graduated in Digital Arts and Media in 2021 and since joining Chatty Learning I have created bespoke and unique artwork for the software package, Chatty Toolbox. I also support the Chatty Learning Team with any of their graphic design needs
Since graduating in 2002, I have worked with children from early years through to secondary school age within clinics and schools. I have extensive experience and training in a range of communication areas, including specific language impairment, speech sounds, stammering in younger children, selective mutism and learning difficulties (particularly communication difficulties associated with Down Syndrome).
I have over 30 years of experience working in a range of different settings with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. My particular areas of expertise are severe speech sound disorder and developmental language disorder. Training other professionals has also always been part of my role and is an area I continue to enjoy. Through continuing professional development I have ensured my knowledge and skills are current and evidence-based.
I started working for Chatty Learning in 2022 and assisted in the Chatty Words pilot research project. I work alongside Chatty Learning Therapists and provide all types of speech and language therapy interventions for school-aged children.
I started working for Chatty Learning in 2022 having worked in Education since 2012.
I have experience of working with many children with SLCN and more general SEN needs having worked with whole classes and in a 1:1 format.
I started working for Chatty Learning in January 2023. I have over 34 years experience of working with children having been a nanny for 16 years and a Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant in two different primary schools for 18 years. I have delivered many interventions including speech and language therapy in 1:1, small group and whole class formats.
I started working for Chatty Learning in April 23. I have many years experience of working in school settings in the capacity of supporting whole classes and individual pupils with special educational needs. In my role working for Chatty Learning, I work alongside a Speech and Language Therapist providing intervention and support for older children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
